Gozo is an all year round tourist destination with a long hot and sunny summer. Winter is short and definitely not harsh. Gozo enjoys long stretches of sunny weather even during the winter months. July/August may be the hottest months of the year with February possibly being the coldest one. In August the temperature averages 30 degrees Celsius while in February it may go down to around 10 degrees Celsius.

The Island of Gozo is situated 5 kilometers to the Northwest of Malta. It is about 80 kilometres away from the Island of Sicily and about 190 kilometres from the North African coast.
Roughly circular in shape, Gozo has an area of 14 kilometres by 7 kilometres. The highest point on the Island is Ta' Dbiegi Hill which rises 190 metres above sea level.
The southern part of Gozo is low lying, but it rises near the coast where one finds the vertical cliffs of Ta' Cenc.
